Privacy policy

Last updated: 2 November 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Bambiqa collects, uses, discloses and protects personal data when you visit our website, place an order or contact our team.

Who we are

The website bambiqa.shop is operated by PLANCHA BBQ UK LTD, trading as Bambiqa, a private limited company registered in England and Wales (company number 16922576). We are responsible for the personal data we process as the retailer and data controller for our online store.

Our registered office is 71–75 Shelton Street, Covent Garden, London, WC2H 9JQ, United Kingdom. This address is for legal correspondence and is not a retail premises or returns centre. You can contact us at contact@bambiqa.shop or +44 7446 371844.

Personal information we collect

Depending on how you interact with Bambiqa, we collect information that you provide, including your name, contact details, billing and delivery addresses, order and product details, account information, correspondence, and return or refund requests.

We also receive technical information when you use our site, which may include IP address, device and browser information, cookie identifiers, pages visited and site interaction information. Relevant payment, delivery and fraud-prevention providers may provide transaction status, delivery progress or security information to help us administer your order.

Information necessary to complete a purchase, such as your delivery details and a valid contact method, is required to fulfil an order. If you do not provide it, we may be unable to process or deliver your purchase.

How and why we use information

We process personal data to accept and fulfil orders; take payment through the available checkout providers; arrange delivery, tracking, returns, refunds and exchanges; respond to customer enquiries; maintain business records; and safeguard our store from fraud and misuse.

Our legal bases, as appropriate to the activity, are performance of a contract (orders, shipping and support), legal obligation (accounting, tax and consumer rights), legitimate interests (customer service, maintaining a secure website and preventing fraud), and consent where required for optional marketing or non-essential cookies. Where we rely on legitimate interests, we consider the impact on your rights. You may withdraw consent when it is our applicable basis.

Payments and checkout

The store uses Shopify to operate its storefront and checkout. Payment information is processed by the payment service providers displayed at checkout. Bambiqa does not claim to hold full payment-card numbers. Payment confirmations and transaction details may be retained to administer purchases, refunds and statutory records.

Warehousing, delivery and order tracking

To fulfil an order, we share necessary customer and shipment information with our UK warehouse and fulfilment partner UKFM Warehousing & Distribution and with delivery providers, including Furdeco for applicable home deliveries. This can include the recipient name, delivery address, email or telephone number, order contents and delivery instructions.

We use Track123 to support shipment tracking and order status information where applicable. These providers process the data needed to deliver, track or resolve issues with your order.

Cookies, analytics and marketing

Essential cookies and similar technologies help operate the site, maintain carts and support secure checkout. Optional technologies may be used for functionality, audience measurement or advertising where enabled and permitted by law. Non-essential cookies and similar tracking are subject to the applicable consent requirements.

Our shop has a Google & YouTube sales channel for product listings; related marketing or advertising tools may process information if separately enabled and configured. You can use available cookie preference controls on the website and browser settings to manage your choices. See our Cookie Policy for further information.

Where legally permitted, we may send marketing communications to people who have subscribed or otherwise lawfully agreed to receive them. You can unsubscribe through a message's unsubscribe link or by emailing us.

Who we share personal data with

We may disclose only relevant information to Shopify (storefront and checkout), payment and fraud-prevention providers, UKFM Warehousing & Distribution (storage and order fulfilment), Furdeco and other delivery carriers (shipping), Track123 (tracking), and service providers supporting customer communications, security, analytics or advertising when used.

We may also disclose information to professional advisers, regulators and public authorities where legally required, or as part of a lawful business transfer. We do not disclose personal data for unrelated purposes without an appropriate legal basis.

International processing

Some providers, including ecommerce and technology services, may process data outside the United Kingdom. Where an international transfer requires safeguards under applicable UK data protection law, we rely on an appropriate lawful transfer mechanism, such as adequacy regulations or approved contractual safeguards.

How long we keep information

We keep order and payment records for periods required by tax, accounting and consumer protection laws. Customer support and returns records are retained for as long as reasonably necessary to resolve the enquiry, manage claims and meet legal obligations. Technical and marketing data is retained according to its purpose, the settings of the relevant service and applicable law. We delete or anonymise personal data when it is no longer needed, unless an obligation requires further retention.

You can request details about the applicable retention period for information we hold about you by contacting us.

Your UK data protection rights

Subject to applicable law, you may ask to access or correct your personal data, request deletion or restriction of processing, object to certain processing, request data portability, and withdraw consent where consent is the applicable legal basis. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request.

To exercise these rights, email contact@bambiqa.shop. You also have the right to complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) if you believe your information has been handled unlawfully.

Security and children

We use reasonable organisational and technical measures to help protect customer information and limit access to those who need it. However, no online service can guarantee absolute security.

Our store is intended for adults making purchases. We do not knowingly seek personal data from children for independent purchases.

Updates to this policy

We may amend this Privacy Policy to reflect changes to our store operations, technology, providers or legal duties. The current version is published on this website and will show its latest update date.
